2008 News & Events

  • LPI Tech successfully prototypes high speed tipping equipment and brings it to the production floor.
     
  • Annual Employee Family Picnic held in August.
     
  • 1600 Museum Park brochure cover earns a “Benny” in the PIA national awards and goes on to the international competition.
     
  • 27 awards earned in the Printing Industries of America Annual Awards Competition - 2 Best of Category, 3 Best of Division, 14 Awards of Excellence and 8 Certificates of Merit.
     
  • 6 awards earned in the Foil Stamping & Embossing Association Annual Gold Leaf Awards Competition - 3 Gold and 3 Bronze.
     
  • 1 award earned in the FiberMark 15th Annual Specifier Awards - 1 Honorable Mention.
     
  • Spearheaded community outreach providing Easter dinners for 75 families at Hebron House and 100 families at The House of Peace, a local Christian organization.
     
  • Acquired selected assets of Welsh Bindery of New Berlin, WI and hired several key former employees. 3 high speed stitchers and a 23 pocket high speed perfect binder, all with ink jet and specialty inserting capabilities, added expanding bindery capabilities to 40+ machines.
     
  • Annual gala Employee Appreciation Party held in February.

2007 News & Events

  • Feature article titled Letterhead Press staves off Chinese competition is published in the December 24th issue of Small Business Times.
     
  • 3rd Annual Sales Team Event is held on site at LPI with dinner and an indoor golf tournament.
     
  • Hosted annual onsite Holiday Santa Party for children and families of LPI associates.
     
  • Spearheaded community outreach providing Thanksgiving dinners for 100 families at Hebron House and 150 families at The House of Peace, a local Christian organization.
     
  • High speed, automated wafer seal equipment added to compliment an already broad base of bindery/finishing equipment.
     
  • Jon Young rejoins LPI in the role of Quality Assurance Manager.
     
  • High speed, low tack fugitive glue equipment added.
     
  • Cliff Wozniak takes on a new role as Production Supervisor/QC on 1st shift.
     
  • Chris Kochnowicz takes on a new role as Production Supervisor/QC on 2nd shift.
     
  • Brian Lehman joins LPI as Structural Designer.
     
  • 3 awards earned in the Printing Industries of America, Inc. annual awards competition. This brings the year 2007 total to 40.
     
  • 1 award earned in the FiberMark 14th Annual Specifier Awards in the Business Card Category.
     
  • Partnered with TREK Bicycle to produce easel brochure display announcing the annual TREK 100 Ride For Hope, annual ride to fight childhood cancer.
     
  • 20 awards earned in the Printing Industries of Wisconsin Annual Awards Competition.
     
  • 5 awards earned in the Foil Stamping & Embossing Association Annual Gold Leaf Awards Competition.
     
  • 11 awards earned in the Greater Milwaukee Graphic Arts Association Annual Awards Competition.
     
  • Milwaukee hosts successful IADD/FSEA industry specific Odyssey trade show May 2-4 at the Midwest Express Center. LPI exhibit #140 is one of over 100 exhibits along with live equipment demonstrations on the Tech Shop floor and 30+ classroom technical seminars. 3,500+ visitors attended the show.
     
  • Plant/hospitality tours in conjunction with the Odyssey show hosted May 3rd & 4th for invited guests.
     
  • Spearheaded community outreach providing food to feed 100+ families on Easter Sunday through local Christian organization - The House of Peace. 
     
  • Launched first e news flash edition to active and prospective customers.
     
  • Annual gala Employee Appreciation Party held in February.
     
  • Chris Stahl promoted to Structural Designer position.
     
  • Actively assisted and supported Waukesha Technical College, WCTC, with their addition of foil stamping and embossing capabilities at their Pewaukee, WI training campus. LPI full color banner proudly displayed along side other community service partners.

2006 News & Event

  • Partnered with University of Wisconsin-Stout to produce their GCM (Graphic Communications Management) Update Fall Volume 30 Number 1. Adding foil stamping and embossing created a new brand identity for the publication and provided learning opportunities for students.
     
  • New Bobst Fuego 110 high speed folder-gluer for pocket folders, capacity folders, lock-bottom boxes, folding cartons, CD wallets, partition packages, mailers, in-line inserting, etc.
     
  • Spearheaded community initiative to provide food (10,200 lbs.) to feed 201 families on Thanksgiving Day through local Christian organization - The House of Peace. 
     
  • Jan Mueller promoted to Manager of Shipping & Receiving team.
     
  • Article titled Just A Minute With Michael Graf President of LPI published in the Small Business Times October 27th issue.
     

  • TransAmerica folder earns Best of Show in the Packaging Category in the FiberMark 13th Annual Specifier Awards. This brought total 2006 LPI awards total to 25.
     

  • IADD/FSEA Odyssey industry specific trade show coming to Milwaukee, WI May 2-4 2007 at the Midwest Express Center. LPI plans an exhibit, plant tours and hospitality events.
     

  • TransAmerica folder earns a “Benny” in the PIA national awards and goes on to the international competition.
     

  • Corrective & Preventative Action Program established plant wide with active customer involvement and a focus on, “We can sell predictable first rate quality.”
     

  • New 24ft. International box truck for local and regional deliveries – New full wrap color graphics makes a strong statement.
     

  • Annual Employee Family Picnic held in August.
     

  • Second annual Sales Team Dinner hosted in August with a focus on celebrating the dedicated efforts of all Account Managers.
     

  • Promo Committee spearheaded successful Valentine's Day “Uncle Sam Hat” self promo.
     

  • Inside Finishing, February/March 2006, featured LPI produced “Best of Show”.
     
  • 8 awards earned in international graphics competition.
     
  • 5 awards earned in regional graphics competition.

  • Russ Freeman joins LPI as Estimator with purchasing responsibilities.

  • Jaime Weileder joins LPI as Account Manager.

  • Addition of 110” computer interfaced plotter.
